Product data at a glance
| What it is | A water-based treatment sprayed onto the engine’s existing air filter, where it dries into a thin, breathable coating. It is not a fuel additive, not an oil additive, not an ECU remap and not a retrofit — nothing is introduced into the fuel or oil systems, and no hardware is changed. |
|---|---|
| Application | About 20–45 minutes per vehicle, during an air-filter service you already carry out; the filter dries for at least 20 minutes before it is refitted |
| Re-application | Cars, trucks and buses every ~5,000–12,000 km in service, depending on the duty cycle; ships and generators by running hours and size |
| Fuels | Documented field data for diesel, petrol and LPG vehicles; no field validation for CNG/LNG, biogas, biodiesel or HVO, so no performance claim for those fuels |
| Instruction | Written application leaflets for your industry and your filters; training by video conference or, in some cases, on site. We need the type and dimensions of your air filters, the filter material, and your engines and their manufacturers. |
| Storage | Away from heat and direct sunlight |
| Supply | Ex works (EXW), from distribution warehouses in Germany for Europe, Japan for East Asia and, at present, North and South America, and Egypt for the Middle East and Africa; for shipping companies, usually at a seaport |
Safety documentation, quality and compliance
| Item | What it says | On request |
|---|---|---|
| Technical data sheet | Product and application data | Yes |
| Safety data sheets | EU, UK, US and UN/GHS sheets, each dated 16 January 2024: not classified under their applicable hazard-classification systems, 0% VOC, transport not regulated under the transport regimes they list — summary on the product page | Yes |
| REACH | Water-based formulation, REACH compliant, as stated on the product documentation | Information only |
| Quality management | Quality and consistency are managed in line with the ISO 9001 quality-management standard. It covers how the product is made and controlled — not how well it performs. More under certifications. | Certification details |
| Patents | Patented in Japan (2018) and in the United States (2021). A patent protects an invention; it is not evidence of how well the product works. | Patent numbers |
Insurance and engine warranty
Product liability insurance: NanoEFX has been covered by product-liability insurance since 2014, with no claims to date.
Engine warranty terms are between you and your engine manufacturer, and we will not speak for them. NanoEFX is sprayed onto the existing air filter and dries there: nothing is removed, replaced or added, and neither the engine’s hardware nor its software is altered. One treated engine has been opened and examined by the engine manufacturer’s own service agent, which found no treatment-related damage and no corrosion — an inspection, not an approval. If your terms are strict about intake components, ask your manufacturer first; more on warranty.
From a pilot to regular orders
- Pilot. A controlled pilot on 5–10 trucks or buses, or 1–3 vessels, measured against your own baseline — you pay only if it proves fuel savings. The pilot programme.
- Rollout terms are agreed after the pilot.
- Registration and orders. We register your company as a customer electronically, and orders are recorded electronically.
- Supply ex works from the warehouse for your region, as above.
