Our story

Reducing emissions — one engine at a time.

NanoEFX began in Japan and is brought to global markets by ECO EFX Solutions GmbH in Hamburg. It is a patented, natural-materials treatment for engine air filters that supports cleaner combustion, better fuel efficiency and lower emissions — without engine modifications.

Our mission

“We have the wisdom to protect the Earth — reducing emissions, one engine at a time.”

In a world facing global warming, air pollution and the loss of natural habitats, the combustion engines our economy relies on play a decisive role in the release of emissions. We are committed to tackling that challenge with practical, eco-friendly solutions that reduce emissions and contribute to a cleaner world — one engine at a time. What began in Japan now reaches across the globe.

Where it started

From a Japanese laboratory to fleets worldwide

NanoEFX was invented in Japan by Chie Yasunaga, founder of EiShin Co., Ltd. Prototype development began in 2010 together with an engineering doctor from Osaka University, and test sales followed in 2011. Over the next decade the technology was tested, listed and adopted internationally — from a listing on the UNIDO Environmental Technology Database (STePP) to adoption by the Audi Japan Racing Team, and patent registration in 2018.

In 2023, ECO EFX Solutions GmbH was founded in Hamburg/ Germany to develop the international market for NanoEFX, supported by a growing group of regional companies and distribution partners around the world. The product had already been renamed NanoEFX for international markets in 2022; in Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam and Korea it continues under its original name, eco-SPRAY. EiShin Co., Ltd. and ECO EFX Solutions GmbH are also connected through shareholding relationships on both sides, reflecting the long-term relationship between the Japanese manufacturer and the international commercialisation organisation.
